On Saturday, our family got together for the first time in 2.5 years. There was so much excitement about being able to see everyone. There were littles running around and newly engaged couples, expectant mothers, and the anticipation of a wedding later this year.
We can be so very different – some of us are detailed, and some see the whole picture. Some of us are loud while others (not very many) are quieter. Some of us are huggers while others are not.
We got caught up and hugged and laughed and ate and played in the pool. And I felt so loved by all of these people who are so precious to me. The little ones just steal my heart EVERY TIME!!!!
Connecting with the Littles…
• Little Miray held my finger as we walked across the parking lot.
• Owen asked me to throw rings for him to find in the pool and then watch as he found them.
• Ethan wanted me to watch while he flopped in the water and tell him if his legs were floating.
• Tristan informed me that he was jumping in the pool (he is 2) and waited patiently for me to get the pool noodle ready to haul him back to the shallow end.
• Aiden wanted me to count while he held his head underwater, and Jamila wanted me to stick close by while she put her feet in the water.
• Dawson needed help choosing goggles (which she later informed me she was taking home even though her mom had said “no”) and Noah came running for hugs because he had not seen me since last week.

We have had our challenges, but we always come back together. We forgive, we pray, and we love.
Our parents taught us that love is better than conflict. So, we support each other and pray for each other and show up when it matters.
We may all be different, but we are all perfect as we are.
Although we are different in many ways, we are all made in God’s image. All are precious in His eyes and He wants all of us to have a relationship with Him.
So even if you feel different than other people who worship Jesus, reach out. He wants to know you too. Just think how excited He will be to see you and have you connect with Him
